Distance: 4.6km Elevation: 30m
This is a short and easy hike to a very large waterfall in Yoho National Park. This hike is kid friendly and also winter friendly. The parking lot is just past the Hunter Fire Lookout parking lot making it an easy hike. I did not get many photos due to a thunderstorm rolling in.
The Trailhead
The drive from Calgary is about 2:30 hours. Head west on Highway 1, past Field, the parking lot is on your left hand side with no sign. Ignore the first parking lot unless it is winter then that is where you will park. There are washrooms at the farther lot.
The Hike
This is a popular hike and spot for tourists as well. There are a lot of people there no matter the day of the week. The trail is flat and winds through the forest. You only have to watch for slippery roots. Once at the waterfalls you can walk down to the lower side for different views.

Side Notes
- The waterfall is in a National Park, buy the pass at the gate or visitor center.
- There is some cell service around this hike.
- There are a lot of people and the lot can get full plan accordingly.
- The parking lot is small, so plan ahead if driving an RV.
- I would consider this hike winter and kid friendly.
