The Trailhead
From Calgary drive to Bragg Creek. Drive down Highway 66. At signs for Elbow Falls park on the pullout near the winter gate on the right hand side. There are washrooms in the Elbow Falls parking area near the pull out.

The Hike
This trail is official and has signs. The trail starts to the right of the pull out. You start by climbing steep switch backs, since the remodeling of the trail is nice and wide. After a steep climb in the trees you come to a small bench with a lookout, the climb is not over. Next you will climb up a a path of loose rocks until you are at the top. The top is a huge grassy area with a flag. Views of the valley below and neighboring mountains greet you.

Side Notes
- This hike is before the winter gate, in trees and is a good winter hike, with spikes.
- This hike is short and steep, making it a good before work or after work objective.
- There is no cell service, plan appropriately.
- To be honest this is not my favorite hike, however it is a great work out and close to the city.
